Greetings fellow PMI members!
The Tallahassee Chapter Board members have continued to meet often since the
last update on 10/17/02, there is great progress to report….
By-Laws
- PMI headquarters has reviewed the Chapter’s By-Laws and after minor
adjustments the By-Laws have been accepted in record time.
Incorporation
– The Tallahassee Chapter is officially a non-profit corporation in the State of
Florida and has a FEIN from the IRS, therefore a bank account has been
established to receive sponsorship funding; there is also a post office box
address for the corporation.
Ready to receive sponsorship
– The four levels of sponsorship:
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Each tier will receive respective benefits in terms of space on the web site,
recognition, and special acknowledgements. (If your company will be a sponsor, please let me know.)
Web site
– This should help us all! The web
host service has been selected and the site is under construction. Be on the lookout for a preview announcement in the next few
days. The logo design has
been finalized by the Board under the provisions of the PMI guidelines
Kick-Off
- Date is still not final, but we
are expecting it to be held around 11/14-11/20, it is based on speaker
confirmation in conjunction with the facility.
For the kick-off we are planning to offer it in a dinner environment,
6:00 to 9:00 weeknight. There will
be a charge for dinner, one price for members and a surcharge price for
non-members (guests will be welcomed).
How to pay? Expect it to be via web
site for electronic reservations and payment.
Kindly keep your calendars open for the kick-off, the date should be announced
by next Tuesday, 11/5/02.
One of our constraints has been to have the kick-off before the holidays.
