Since its founding in 1969, the Project Management Institute (PMI) has grown to be the organization of choice for project management professionalism. PMI is the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession, with more than half a million members and credential holders in 185 countries. Our worldwide advocacy for project management is supported by our globally-recognized standards and credentials, our extensive research program, and our professional development opportunities.

PMI’s products and services are the basis of greater recognition and acceptance of project management’s successful role in governments, organizations, academia and industries. PMI establishes Project Management standards, provides seminars, educational programs, and professional certification programs that are desired and utilized by a growing number of organizations and project leaders.

About PMI Tallahassee

The PMI Tallahassee Chapter was founded in 2002 to support the vision of PMI and to promote the discipline of project management to our membership, government, and businesses in the Big Bend/Panhandle areas of North Florida. Our vision is to foster an environment of sharing experiences and continued education for the project management discipline through scheduling, promoting, and facilitating engagements for the local community by:

1. Creating an environment and opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, professionalism, and application of project management;
2. Promoting and enabling corporate, community, and educational networking opportunities;
3. Partnering with business and government to unleash the power of project management; and
4. Attracting, developing, and retaining effective leadership for our local PMI Chapter.

Membership of our current chapter has grown to almost 300 and we maintain an additional list of over 300 Chapter contacts. The Chapter meets the first Monday of February, April, June, August, October, and December at the Florida State University Center Club.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The PMI Tallahassee Chapter Board of Directors would like to thank you for considering sponsorship with our local PMI Chapter. As a non-profit organization, we rely on two sources of revenue to provide our membership with valuable services and quality programs: 1) Chapter dues, and 2) participating sponsors. The Tallahassee Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI-TLH_®) has long recognized the value of having the support of partners. The sponsorship program enables partnering organizations to network and to demonstrate their commitment to the project management profession in the following ways:

Platinum Sponsor - $1500

• Logo and website link on PMI Tallahassee Sponsor web page for one year
• Chapter meeting sponsorship (one meeting).
  • Platinum sponsorship recognition in bi-monthly meeting announcements for the sponsored meeting.
  • Display table provided at Chapter meeting for the sponsored meeting.
  • 20 minute presentation to Chapter meeting attendees at the sponsored meeting (during dinner before the main speaker).
  • Sponsor can provide door prizes for the drawings at the end of the meeting.

At this sponsorship level, the sponsor representative will have up to twenty minutes at the beginning of the Chapter’s program to discuss the company’s products and/or services. This is not a time to demonstrate software but rather to share how the company can serve the needs of the attendees.

The sponsoring company representative(s) will be given the opportunity to network with Chapter meeting attendees for 45 minutes during the social time prior to the start of the meeting. A skirted table will be provided in the meeting room where the sponsor may set up displays, disseminate company literature, and demonstrate product information (Internet connectivity is not provided).

Gold Sponsor - $1000

• Logo and website link on PMI Tallahassee Sponsor web page for one year.
• Chapter meeting sponsorship (one meeting).
  • Gold sponsorship recognition in bi-monthly meeting announcements for the sponsored meeting.
  • Display table provided at Chapter meeting for the sponsored meeting.
  • 10 minute presentation to Chapter meeting attendees at the sponsored meeting (during dinner before the main speaker).
  • Sponsor can provide door prizes for the drawings at the end of the meeting.

At this sponsorship level, the sponsor representative will have up to ten minutes at the beginning of the Chapter’s program to discuss the company’s products and/or services. This is not a time to demonstrate software but rather to share how the company can serve the needs of the attendees.

The sponsoring company representative(s) will be given the opportunity to network with Chapter meeting attendees for 45 minutes during the social time prior to the start of the meeting. Silver Sponsor - $500

At this sponsorship level, the sponsor representative will have five minutes at the beginning of the Chapter’s program to discuss the company’s products and/or services. This is not a time to demonstrate software but rather to share how the company can serve the needs of the attendees.

The sponsoring company representative(s) will be given the opportunity to network with Chapter meeting attendees for 45 minutes during the social time prior to the start of the meeting. A skirted table will be provided in the meeting room where the sponsor may set up displays, disseminate company literature, and demonstrate product information (Internet connectivity is not provided).

Web Page Sponsor - $250

Please complete the attached Sponsorship Intent Form and submit it to the PMI Tallahassee contact listed at the bottom of the form for acceptance and payment processing. Upon receipt and approval, an invoice will be provided to the designated sponsor contact. Additional information necessary for determining sponsorship month, logo inclusion, URL linkages, or newsletter text will be requested upon receipt of payment.
