PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
We are already well into 2012, a year that promises to be an exciting and
rewarding one for our members and the Tallahassee Community. We welcomed 2
new board members, Justin Mills as VP Programs, and Paul Mahoney as VP
Admin. I am very grateful to our previous VP Programs, Mary Garvin and
previous VP Admin, Robert Keyt, who is currently 1st VP and will become
President of the Chapter in January 2013. We also welcomed Richard J. Wilson
as a special Director and Chapter Liaison for the Project Management
Education Foundation (PMIEF).
We completed our first Scrum Jump-Start class, taught by our own Tray
Williams, attended by both PMI Tallahassee members and non-members from the
community. Our 4th PMP Exam Prep Course held in February had 16 participants
from both members and non-members. Our first dinner presentation in the
year, given by Mr. Ananth Prasad, Secretary of the Florida Department of
Transportation, drew one of our largest audiences ever.
I am very encouraged by the level of enthusiasm and support from our
Volunteer Committee Members Amit Bokey, David Davis, Dr. John DuBard, Venkat
Golla, Lisa Hopkins, Kevin Lundgren, Nathan McPherson, Rick Miller, Kayann
Smith-Fraser, Lee Thurston and Linda Willis. I challenge other chapter
members to step up and be counted. Please take the time to visit our website

activities. While on our website, please do not forget to navigate to the
