The Tallahassee PMI  Chapter will be presenting another PMP Exam Prep class, which will earn 35 hours of educational credits.  The dates for the class are February 16, 18,21,23,25, 28 and March 1, 2012.  The cost is $600 for Chaper Members, and $700 for non-members.  Sign up and pay a deposit of half the fee by January 26, 2012.  The balance is due February 10, 2012.  If paid by the Febraury 5 meeting, the balance is $50 less.  If anyone with a PMP wants to earn 3 PDUs by attending one section of the class, the cost is $50.   Contact the VP of Professional Development.

As we head down the home stretch of the first year of my tenure as your President, I want to express deep gratitude, on behalf of the board of directors, for all the support you have given us this year. We have a very committed and engaged board of directors. The attendance at our bi-monthly dinner meetings has increased significantly. My special appreciation goes to the volunteers who assist at the registration desk during our meetings. At the risk of leaving out some names, I want to personally recognize Kevin Lundgren, Amit Bokery and Tray Williams for being consistent in this area.
My very special recognition goes to our VP of Professional Development, Fran Buie, and her team of volunteers who provided two successful PMP Exam Prep classes. Our next class will be in the first quarter of 2012.

We still have 5 months left for the special challenge I threw out at the beginning of the year for us to get to know one another more closely. Please let’s continue to schedule private small-group coffee, tea or lunch sessions among ourselves, in groups of 3 or at most 5. Please don’t forget to include board members in the invitations and please keep a record of these networking sessions because at the end of this year, we will be awarding very special prizes to the most notable networkers among us.
