  IT Portfolio Management

Portfolio management is a mature concept in financial management circles. Financial managers tailor a portfolio of investments based on their customers goals and risk profile. Dr. Birch will present her thoughts on how these established concepts of portfolio management can be used to increase visibility and gain control of IT services and projects. She will draw on IT service management concepts from the IT Infrastructure Library and governance concepts from the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (CobiT) to discuss the benefits and responsibilities associated with portfolio management.
