Frank Mooney, PMP:
Fixed Price Project, Friend or Foe?

I once had a Project Manager tell me that managing a Fixed Price project was like jumping from a plane without a parachute… both have little chance of success. All joking aside, the fact remains that the number of companies using Fixed Price projects as a strategy is rapidly increasing. While companies see them as a method to “unload all responsibilities,” the reality is they often do more harm than good, and tend to reflect a vendor’s “worse case scenario.” The presentation “Fixed Price Project, Friend or Foe?” will bring to the forefront the facts behind Fixed Price projects and also detail an approach that has proven to increase the chances of success… for everyone.
