Voting Process

2007 Election Candidate Sample Ballot

December 3rd's election steps:

  1. All voting members in good standing of the chapter shall have the right to vote in the election.
  2. The nominating committee will prepare numbered ballots to be distributed to the members during check-in. The ballots are not traced to the members, however it is noted whether a member did receive a ballot.
  3. At the beginning of the evening’s program each candidate running for election will give a brief overview of their qualifications and reasons for running.
  4. The members will then be asked to vote or decline to vote for each board position by putting an “x” in the corresponding box.
  5. The nominating committee volunteers will collect the ballots and during the guest presentation the ballots will be counted. One person will count the vote and two persons will crosscheck. In the event of a tie the current board will vote to break the tie.
  6. At the end of the guest presentation, the results will be announced. The newly elected board officials will assume office on January 1, 2008.
  7. The nominating committee will put all the ballots in a sealed and signed envelope for the chapter’s official records.
